Merger & Acquisition Manager

The Merger & Acquisition Manager will perform the following activities:

• Lead and coordinate M&A projects up to closing
• Company valuations both highlevel, with limited data available, and following a due dilligence process.
• Preparation and follow-up of the basis for discussions with potential target companies incl. analysis of the effects on the balance sheet and P&L
• Lead and coordinate the respective M&A consultancies as well as auditors, tax advisors and consulting lawyer
• Preparation of documentation for Approval Committee
• Support in ensuring a professional M&A process chain in the Group in coordination with the German headquarters
• Work with the Chief Executive Officer and Business Unit Director identifying potential targets

Skills and required:

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the M&A area of a company or an M&A-focused management consulting firm, a transaction advisory or coporate finance department of an auditing firm.
• Expert in business valuation and due diligence
• Project management skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Expert of the energy sector is a plus
• Distinct independent and process-oriented way of working, coupled with strategic and conceptual skills
• Ability to work in a team, high commitment & willingness to perform as well as own initiative
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as a confident manner at all levels
