Strategy & Operations Manager - Financial Services

This role is commercially focused and covers forecasts and budget setting, performance analysis, monthly Strategic Business Review & Monthly Business Review preparation, modelling, and project work, ad hoc analysis and preparation of presentations as requested by the COO.
The Strategy and Operations Manager is also responsible for the timely implementation and delivery of the assigned projects and/or processes including the management and the organization of the Global Accounts support team (four resources).

Strategic support:

  • Manage ongoing project plans, as assigned by the COO & management working with cross-functionalteam to facilitate meetings and drive project issues through to resolution;
  • Prepare in coordination with CMD the analysis for the COO on the main local clients renegotiation strategy;
  • Support Local Commercial teams delivering tools for Global Account such as consolidated insights, ad hoc reports, CPM and maintaining CRM;
  • Prepares a quarterly Global Account Update to be distributed to all Country Managers;
  • Support to set-up financial business cases with analysis of data, research of information internal andexternal.



Analytical & business modelling:

  • Ownership for coordinating and delivering forecasts and annual budgets: planning, instructions/guidance, target setting, reviewing and challenging of brand and overhead budget submissions, run rate analysis;
  • Provide robust and detailed interpretation of financial analysis to enable the business to take timely action/decisions and achieve targets. Identify actions to drive opportunities and mitigate risks;
  • Analyse current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales and operating expenditure;
  • Assist the COO in the roll out of Group Initiative and follow up of the related KPI;
  • Assist the COO in M&A project;



Global account Support:

  • Managing the Commercial Support team the holder of the position will:
    1)Setting and agreeing SLA with Global Account team when it turns to the production of CPM,
    CFO Reports, Commission Reports, Ad Hoc Reporting, Monthly Power BI dashboard.
    2)Regularly establish policies, procedures and training material and secure up-to-date material
  • Process innovation for improving company decisions and to guide team members on rethinking their activities (i.e. standardised/automated reporting)

  • 5-7 years of relevant working experience in similar roles;
  • Advanced Excel expertise is a must to be able to perform accurate and reliable analyses;
  • Ability to handle vast amount of data and handle statistical calculations;
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills to successfully perform in a complex global matrix;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience in consensus building and conflict management in challenging situations;
  • Experience in project management skills to lead the execution of projects that involve different and complex workstreams across different areas of the company;
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently and read and write effectively. Additional language will be a plus.
