LAUNCH VEHICLE SYSTEM ENGINEER (Avio_Colleferro)

In the role of Launcher Vehicle System Engineer She/He is the responsible of technically guide engineering activities and studies for VEGA and VEGA C launch vehicle .

The identified candidate in will be in charge for the following tasks:

• To define high level technical specifications for VEGA/VEGA C Launcher Vehicle, managing system and subsystem requirements and follow their flow down
• To prepare VEGA/VEGA C Launcher Vehicle design documentation, such as: DDF, DJF , ICDs and VCD
• To technical coordination the execution of projects activities along different project phases : Phase 0, Phase A, Phase B , Phase C, Phase D )
• To set and technically guide engineering activities and studies : lay out studies, mechanical couple load analysis, thermal couple load analysis, separation studies, flight mechanical activities, Guidance, Navigation and Control analysis loop, MCI budget, link budget, data budget, avionic system requirement flow down
• Develop system documents, specifications, and other technical documents, apply the system engineering processes to ensure that the system technically fulfils the defined needs and enhancements (change requests) and that a proper system engineering approach is being followed.
• To perform VEGA/VEGA C Launcher troubleshooting , acting as technical leader during Nonconformance Review Process
• Ensure technical consistency and alignment with Project Engineering teams throughout the development, providing technical support to V&V, and support to RAMS Analysis.
• To prepare and participate system, subsystem and product Reviews : PDR, CDR, QR.
• To act a primary technical interface toward internal teams

• Master's Degree in industrial engineering (Aerospace / Aeronautical / Electronic Engineering constitute preferential title).
• Higher graduation (Second level Master, PhD) constitutes preferential title
• 3+ years of experience in professionalizing environment.
• Proven experience in space product design and development will be considered an added value.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering trades: mechanical, propulsion, fluid, thermodynamics, Electronics, avionics, software, production
• Previous experience and knowledge of ECSS standards.
• Advanced knowledge of written and oral English
• Willingness to travel abroad on French Guyana for 3 consecutive weeks one time per year.
